Salvaged Barnwood Wooden Spoon/Cutting Board/Bowl Display Cubby Rack

So honored to have this blog featured.

I love recycling and building things ... so I built this Spoon Shelf to display some of my wooden stuff/collectibles.

I had salvaged some old pine lumber from an old farm house that my sister demolished ... (so sad).

Anyway ... I collect a lot of the old wooden kitchen items and I needed a way to display some of them.  The back of this shelf is awesome ... love to old barn wood knot-hole pine.

I drilled seven holes in the top shelf to display old wooden spoons and called it a Spoon Rack.

I attached an old wire across the front to hold whatever I chose to display inside. It is not very deep, but will hold a Mason canning jar to display more wooden utensils; a cutting board; rolling pin and crimper...

An old wooden dough/salad bowl will also fit in there and store the cutting board and crimper underneath. Remove a spoon and you can sit something on the little shelf.

Such a fun piece to use for display.

Thanks to Joy for featuring this on her blog and all the nice things she had to say.
She has some wonderful displays. Be sure to visit her.
