This neat old metal grid was given to me by a dear friend. I do not know what it was used for or what it was on, but I love it. It is in my entry just inside the door. Below it is a cement garden statue filled with faux fern. Each cross bar has what looks like a knot. So neat ... aged patina and small amounts of paint add to the charm. I decorated it with 'all season' items but today I added some 'Christmas' to it.
Added red berries to the cone flower container ... This container is a floral container for graveside arrangements.
I removed the spike and painted it.
and a fringed, coffee stained burlap bow ...
vintage ornaments and this smiling Snowman, so cute with his stick arms and a bird feather in his floppy hat.
I love to decorate with dry artichokes. Each had a short stem which I split and added the long stems (sticks from the yard) and wired/hot glued them in place. Sprayed them with my favorite Ivory paint.
Hope you enjoy this little vignette and can be inspired to use vintage metal items to decorate with.
Christmas Blessings.
