Shades and Textures of White Vignette

I shopped my house for shades or textures of white  and this is what I chose to work with.
(please click pictures to enlarge)

The cement garden statue of the young girl hugging a little rabbit was in our bathroom on the tub surround. She is happy to be out for awhile. The old weathered newel post is part of my collection from the living room and lace curtain above it needs to be hung in the dining room. The assortment of painted frames; from my stash in the garage and the faux green plant gets moved around all the time. It really does not have a home at the present time. The white tulips in the old tarnish silver pitcher and bird are temporally stolen from my table centerpiece.

Here you see the shades and textures of white. The rustic old weathered newel post, the hardness of the cement statue, the fragile (faux) tulips and the different textures of the frames ... and the glamor of the head band and the jewelry draped around her waist.
(I wore this headband to our Senior prom in 1950)

The frames are leaned up against a very tall mirror and you will see reflection of the wall and door across the room.

Then I started adding a little rustic movement to it with a touch of blue.  More textures ... metal, a lace heart and a grapevine wreath from nature and a small terracotta pot.

The antique silk roses in the ironstone pitcher look very romantic ... showing another shade of white.

Bringing in the black antique child's chair and the ribbon tied stack of Bibles brings out the darkness in the old tarnished silver pitcher.

Which one do you like ?

Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings.

I think the vignette that would fit best into my home is the last one, but just for it's beauty I think the one with the roses.

  11. I love them all too, but my favorite is also the one with roses in the pitcher. I love the lines of old cream pitchers......add some flowers and there's nothing else as pretty.
