Wednesday is my day to go Thrifting at the
25¢ Sale at Find's Thrift Store ....
unfortunately none of these items came from that sale,
but I did get some good buys ...
well, maybe this did.
I got this board there for $2.00.
I plan to make a sign with it ...
maybe fresh fruit, vegetables and flowers ...
or it could be a back to a small garden bench.
Break for a special announcement ...
now back to what I have found ...
This 4' x 7' piece beaded board came from ReStore Habitat for Humanity Thrift. $5.00
This will come in handy when building furniture or as Angie at Knick of Times suggested ... a backdrop for photos. Yes, I have used it for that and it is GOOD.
Then there was this Estate Sale of a lady who had a space in and Antique Store ...
she was also a
her three bedroom house, plus a screened-in porch was so full you could not walk through it ...
also the garage ....
and ...
three storage units ...
she had great stuff ... old stuff ... and cheap ...
This is part of what I bought the first week ...
Nice, very old Newel posts that just need some TLC ... $6.00
I went there to buy Antique stoneware ...and I did ...
This pitcher is about eight inches tall ...
This beauty is big and about twelve inches tall ...
It took the Estate Sales people four week-ends of sales
to even half-way liquidate this estate.
Happy to add this square bowl to two others I have like this.
The fourth week, they were finally able to get into the kitchen to sell what was in the dining room and kitchen.
Inlaid doors ...
what can I do with these ???
... just hang them on the wall ?
... make a cabinet for them ?
Hope you enjoyed seeing my fabulous finds.
Thanks for visiting ...
Blessings,

Looks like you have had loads of fun. I vote to make a cabinet for those doors. Do you have a large house? It is fun to go shopping but then I don't have much space to display my finds! Nice dishes! Your sign when finished will look especially nice! Nancy
ReplyDeleteThat larger pitcher looks like it may have once been a part of a commode?!! You found some great things indeed.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Fabulous indeed! I love the china pieces you found. Heck, I would be thrilled to find just one of these. But the red tray and pitcher are so wonderful. What an amazing sale! (I'm so glad you plan to make a paper wreath too!)
ReplyDeleteI love all your pitchers Audrey! You scored:)

What fantastic finds! So many beautiful pieces, what will you do with them all? I'd use those lovely doors as shutters for a window (If you have one that size) You have such great luck finding wonderful things.

Hi Audrey, wow, that sale sounds like a picker's dream. You found some gorgeous stoneware and those inlaid doors are really beautiful. Yeah, I'd hang them on the wall, but if you have the skills to build something around them, you could really do something great with them. Thanks for sharing this at the We Call It Olde Link-Up. Another party starts Tue & goes through Sat. -Dawn @ We Call It Junkin.com

Wow! you got some great stuff.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine the job those people had. My mom was a hoarder and what she didn't collect herself...she hoarded from her moms house.
Oh my goodness... I AM ONE! I've done that same thing. Brought stuff from my moms and MY MIL homes...
Ok...well, I need to start getting ready to have a sale or something.
We have warmed up here...but still breezy and overcast... I'm loving it.
