Today when browsing my picture files I came across this stand that I restored years ago.
... BEFORE ...
Long ... long ... long before blogging ...
I bought this display stand from an Estate sale,
not even knowing what it displayed.
At that time I was selling on eBay, so thought it would be useful to sell or use for photo props.
The display boards were padded with old brown cotton
and covered with burlap.
Update ... I was featured By:
Thanks Kathe ... such an honor.
Now back for the ............................
... AFTER ...
the back ...
... and if I remember correctly, the front was covered with tattered tan paper ...
full of pin holes as it was a
display for three Men shirts.
I had one shirt to display so used ties on the other two.
The display boards will rotate a little.
I covered each board with red ticking material ...
(even before it was popular)
and used upholstery gimp on the seam.
Pretty enough to display almost anything ...
Vintage blouse ... and old photos ...
Miss Kewpie/Cupie doll
and Alice.
Easter hat ... vintage jewelry ...and kids
Remember the BEFORE ....
... and now the AFTER.
with antique eye glasses ... jewelry and Grandma
Hope you enjoyed these befores and afters.
Thanks for the visit and I hope you will leave a comment to let me know you were here.
If you have trouble leaving a comment, please let me know so I can try to fix it.
