My first stop is usually the garage or work shop. Show me metal pieces with time-worn paint and I want them.
I was a big spender ... $4.00 for the two sets of vintage furniture pipe clamps ... just put a piece of pipe in between and there you have a clamp.
The wheel thing is a part of a pully of some sort ... there again, it was the color and only $1.50. Nice bargain.
Now you are beginning to see my plan to use them.
Don't they make interesting candle holders?
This is really thinking outside the box and I love it.
Happy Christmas.

I'm drawn to metal pieces also! Give me some metal, rust, and lace....and I 'm happy! Hugs, Penny
ReplyDeleteThat is "awesomeness". It's fun to take things apart and reconstruct them.

I always look for this kind of stuff too, but mostly for garden junk. Lately some of my garden junk is working it's way inside!
ReplyDeleteLOVE it! And the answer to your question is, 'YES!' :-)
ReplyDeleteThose pieces really do make wonderful candle holders! I would probably not buy those because I don't have the imagination that you do. You are so clever at thinking outside the box.
ReplyDeleteYou and Carlene should live next door to each other...:) You both find the cutest uses for the oddest things. Now, I would never have thought to use these pieces for candles...it is just beautiful.

I will look at old metal pieces with renewed interest. Thanks for sharing!
