Helpful Ideas

Hope your are having a GREAT Summer. Mine has just been too busy to do much blogging but this email came in today from my daughter and I wanted to share it with you.

Very good helpful ideas:
I have not edited the pictures and do not know the source. Some pictures are not very sharp, but I am sure you will be able to get the idea anyway. Some I have used and some I plan to use.

How neat is this ... I will surely use this one!  Place a rubber band around an open paint can to wipe your brush on and keep paint off the side of the can.
Would have to be careful not to pop the rubber band or you would have splattered paint all over.

Love this ... so clever and useful.
Wish I had though of that.
Use a (clean) dustpan to fill a container that doesn't fit in the sink

This is one for all the DYI Bloggers.
Save your fingers from the hammer.
I use small needle nose pliers.
Use a Comb to Keep a Nail Steady for Hammering.

Not too sure how well this will work.
Put wooden spoon across boiling pot of water to keep from boiling over.

Use sunglasses or a small convex mirror to avoid people sneaking up on you while wearing headphones at work.   Okay !

I have used this one ...
Use a post-it-note to catch drilling debris.

Use bread clips to save flip-flops with split holes.
I just repaired my $-Store flip-flops by twisting cord around it and hot glue ... so far so good. Great tip !

Use a microfiber cloth to prevent frost from forming on the windshield.

Use a staple remover to save your fingernails when trying to add things to your key ring!

How to put shoes in the dryer.

How to keep the straw from rising out of your soda can.   Very clever.

Hope you found at least one of these Ideas helpful.

Which one would be most helpful to you?

  1. a couple of these I've seen but not tried...
I bought a bag attachment for the dryers and my shoes...wish I'd thought of the shoe string trick.
I think the most clever was the flip-flop fix (say that five times fast) and the soda can with a straw.
simple fixes...but I'm gonna try them!

    thanks for showing them.Pat

  2. I use an envelope to catch debris from drilling !
They're all great ideas but I love the comb idea and the dustpan for filling a bucket - clever !
I hope you're enjoying your summer Audrey.
